On January 17, 2022, Vice Chairman, Executive Director and CEO of Far East Horizon Kong Fanxing met with Secretary Jiang Dongdong of the Party Committee of Putuo District, Shanghai and his party at Far East Horizon Plaza, with in-depth views exchanged on further enhancing government-enterprise cooperation.

Looking back on the course of cooperation, both parties have continued to strengthen communication, broaden the range of cooperation and deepen the level of collaboration in the principle of mutual benefit since the establishment of their relationship in 2016, resulting in substantial achievements in government-enterprise cooperation and a profound friendship.

Together cultivating a test field and advancing the frontier

First of all, Secretary Jiang Dongdong thanked Far East Horizon for its contribution to the economic development of Putuo District over the years. He pointed out that we were delighted to witness the continued good development momentum of Far East Horizon and its remarkable achievements in the past year. “What’s more important than the performance numbers is Far East Horizon’s adherence to its strategic direction and insistence on business transformation and upgrading for many years.”

At the meeting, Secretary Jiang introduced the economic and social development situation of Putuo District. With an increase achieved in multiple key economic indicators last year, Putuo District has entered a favorable economic development track and gone on a path full of youthful spirit and vigor.

With regard to its future development, Putuo District is committed to its goals and full of confidence. Secretary Jiang expressed that the 11th Party Congress which just ended not long ago depicted a new blueprint for Putuo District’s development in five years—“make sufficient preparation to fulfil two tasks beautifully; keep hearts close and reinforce collaboration to build a common homeland.” Insisting on providing convenient, considerable and comprehensive services of high quality, Putuo District will strive to become the best “partner” and “servant” of enterprises, to offer the most favorable conditions, the most superior environment and the broadest stage for enterprise development.

We hope that Far East Horizon will further enhance its cooperation with Putuo District, make Putuo District a “test field” for the strategic development of Far East Horizon, and advance the frontier of government-enterprise cooperation with active attempts and brave exploration.

President Kong Fanxing warmly welcomed Secretary Jiang Dongdong and his party, and expressed heartful thanks to the Putuo District Government for its generous support. Knowing that Secretary Jiang had just expressed sympathy and solicitude for epidemic control and prevention workers fighting at the front line before his visit to Far East Horizon, President Kong was deeply touched and said that the determination demonstrated by the government in fighting COVID-19 was quite a reassuring force for enterprise development. At present, the pandemic is still a major factor of uncertainty impacting socio-economic development. Putuo District, Shanghai and even the entire nation are still combating coronaviruses. And people are deeply moved by the unremitting efforts of governments at all levels and the hard work of epidemic control and prevention workers through day and night with the people always put first.

Later, President Kong introduced the development situation of Far East Horizon, pointing out that for over 20 years since its relocation to Shanghai, in compliance with laws and regulations, Far Est Horizon has remained unswervingly devoted to serving the real economy and never forgotten its original aspiration, creating values for all parties of the society continuously. At present, Far East Horizon has entered a new age of development. Surrounding the development strategy of “finance + industry,” it will further concentrate its core advantages, complete a new round of organizational structure adjustment, form a framework supported by conventional business, new business and industry operation, further subdivide business units, and continue to serve urban upgrade and delve into industry with more diversified means of operation, so as to contribute to China’s urbanization 2.0 and industrial iteration and upgrading.
