This spring, the alarm for COVID-19 was sounded in multiple regions of China once and again without stop. With determination to win, abundant positive energy and high morale, they faced the difficulties right now bravely, calmly and confidently. In addition to active cooperation with the government on various epidemic prevention and control measures and consciousness implementation of corporate responsibilities, Far East Horizon persisted in continuous work and production, to guarantee the orderly advancement of various projects.

Heroes on the Move
In the afternoon of March 22, after complete contract signing with a client in Hengyang, account managers Yin Xi and Mo Zhijun from Division 3, Chemical Medicine Department II of Far Eastern Leasing could not take the high-speed train because of the epidemic situation. So, they drove nearly 600 km for about 6.5 hours in heavy rain to finally arrive at Ruichang, Jiujiang, Jiangxi at round 10:30 in the evening, and completed contract signing with another client the next morning. Then, they was informed that due to the transmission chain of diagnosed COVID-19 patients, the entire city of Ruichang had been locked down since the morning of March 23. As a result, they could not return as scheduled.

The unexpected incident put Yin Xi and Mo Zhijun in an awkward position with difficulties in accommodation and meals. Later, after communicating through multiple channels including the local COVID-19 command center, they were finally accepted into a hotel accommodating business travelers, and held out to the lift of lockdown with instant noodles and free boxed meals. During the lockdown of Ruichang, they actively abided by local epidemic prevention and control measures including citywide nucleic acid testing and hotel quarantine, and finally got to leave for home by car in the morning of March 31.

To fulfil responsibilities and live up to trust, employees like Guo Tianyi shuttled back and forth in the extraordinarily quite office area, sometimes handling over 50 contracts per day to guarantee business at the end of this quarter. Director Liu Haomin from Division 2, Chemical Medicine Department I of Far Eastern Leasing lives in Huamu Neighbored, Pudong New Area—one of the most severely afflicted areas by COVID-19 in Shanghai. During the epidemic period, Liu Haomin actively responded to the various epidemic prevention and control requirements the governed, and set strict demands on himself as an outstanding member of the Communist Party of China. When his neighbored was short of hands, he stepped forward bravely and defied hardship and danger to take an active part in the neighbored volunteer work.

The unexpected outbreak of COVID-19 interrupted the life of most people, and the account manager Yuan Jiafa from Business Division II of Factoring Department is no exception. He has started working from home since March 18. Given the temporary shortage of living supplies as a result of long-time lockdown, the Company and the Department was very concerned about the difficulties faced by employees. In the last week at the final stage of the quarter, through active coordination of multiple aspects, he completed the debt collection, reorganization and analysis of 3 factoring businesses in 3 conventional business units in a row, to guarantee the fulfilment of the quarterly tasks of relevant business units. Starting from March 21, he made use of nighttime to complete 4 online trainings for conventional business units, with over 120 person-times trained.
